Crawfordsville Has a Professional Basketball Team!

Here’s some exciting news for Crawfordsville—we now have our very own professional basketball team, the Crawfordsville Commanders. This brand-new team is getting ready to kick off its new  season in 2026.

Right now, the Commanders are actively building their roster and starting to establish a strong presence in the community. As a new team in the local sports scene, they’re beginning to establish themselves in professional basketball.

Over the next few months, you’ll likely hear a lot more about the Commanders. They’ll also be sharing updates on players, team events, and other exciting developments as the 2026 season approaches.

Last month, the team wrapped up their Open Tryouts, and the coaching staff was blown away by all of the athletes’  talent, energy, and determination they  brought to the court.

Leading the Commanders is Coach Vince Brooks as our new Head Coach. He brings strong leadership and a proven track record of building competitive teams. Coach Brooks is already shaping the roster and culture for an exciting season ahead.
